- 21Shares introduced physically backed exchange-traded products for Zcash (ZEC) and ether.fi (ETHFI) on Euronext Paris and Euronext Amsterdam.
- Featuring a 2.5% annual fee, these new offerings enable European investors to gain exposure to ZEC and ETHFI via conventional brokerage accounts.
European investors can now access Zcash and ether.fi through traditional brokerage accounts following the rollout of two physically backed crypto exchange-traded products by 21Shares.
Making their debut on Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Paris on September 22, the 21Shares Zcash ETP trades under the ticker ZCASH, while the 21Shares ether.fi ETP is listed as ETHFI. Each product maintains holdings of its respective underlying token and features an annual fee of 2.5%.
New ETPs Bring ZEC and ETHFI to Traditional Investment Channels
Assigned the ISIN CH1608218801, the Zcash offering is joined by the ether.fi ETP, which bears the ISIN CH1608218819. These instruments are traded in U.S. dollars on Euronext Amsterdam and in euros on Euronext Paris. Financial institutions and European brokerage platforms offer access to both assets, according to 21Shares.
These investment vehicles aim to offer exposure without demanding that investors purchase tokens directly, configure crypto exchange accounts, or handle private keys. Third-party custodians secure the underlying crypto assets, 21Shares noted.
Regarding ether.fi, the ETP follows ETHFI, which serves as the protocol’s utility and native governance token. 21Shares characterized ether.fi as an ecosystem that evolved from liquid restaking into broader capabilities encompassing spending, payments, borrowing, and earning.
Meanwhile, the Zcash ETP tracks ZEC, a privacy-oriented cryptocurrency capped at a maximum supply of 21 million coins. 21Shares drew attention to Zcash’s emphasis on privacy, post-quantum security, and optional shielded transactions.
This rollout expands Europe’s expanding crypto ETP sector by letting participants trade ZEC and ETHFI via established securities exchanges instead of holding the digital assets outright.
Based on market figures from September 22, Zcash (ZEC) changed hands near $1,530, whereas ether.fi (ETHFI) hovered around $0.70.
