Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, is known for raking in high-profile celebrities. While the platform did drown in troubled waters, it managed to get Ronaldo into the cryptocurrency industry. In 2021, Ronaldo rolled out his line of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on Binance.
The footballer received some Bitcoin as a gift from the exchange as part of a deal. However, the specific amount of Bitcoin that he holds is uncertain. In addition, it is not known if Ronaldo invested further in the asset or even sold it.
Legal Challenges Following The Partnership
It should be noted that the footballer was hit with legal troubles following this partnership. One of Ronaldo’s significant setbacks was a $1 billion class-action lawsuit linked to Binance’s NFT activities last year.
